After a paradigm shift of thinking more towards my personal purpose and fostering wellness in my life more proactively, I left the Restaurant Consulting Business and entered a unique graduate program at the National Institute of Whole Health (NIWH) & Harvard Medical School. The Whole Health Education® program is about demystifying health information and whole health living topics for everyone so they have an authentic understanding of the multiple factors that cause illness or wellness. Whole Health Education (W.H.E.) is the first patient education and health coaching model developed, tested and utilized in clinical and hospital settings. The model encourages and supports shared decision making between physicians, patients and care givers to create the best possible health outcomes. Whole Health Educators are medical, allied health, wellness and education professionals trained in a Whole Person Health model of health education and behavioral change; this model invites individuals to understand how the physical, emotional, nutritional, environmental and spiritual aspects of their lifestyle affect their health and well-being, as well as impact disease states.
I have been blessed with a thriving private practice for the past seven years and loved every minute of helping people bust the myths they have that healing is not possible, and that healthy eating is boring and not attainable! My approach is centered on functional medicine, meaning I am always looking to get to the root cause of whatever is going on with someone’s health. I focus on strengthening every cell in the body and helping clients gain control over disease and cultural stress in their lives. It also means that I view the body as a systemic organism and know that all organs, glands, and systems affect each other. I do not advocate any one specific way of eating, but I do encourage all of my clients to live by the motto “Let Food Be Thy Medicine.” I believe every individual has distinct dietary needs based upon genetics, lifestyle, gender, blood type, stress levels, how they ate as a child, current state of health, and future health goals. Therefore, I focus on bio-individuality, while imparting a positive and empowering perspective shift around food that results in greater lifelong food flexibility. The Wellness Path at Whole Energy Lifestyle Living is based on the belief that the human body has an innate healing ability. I teach and educate clients/patients to use diet, exercise, lifestyle changes and cutting edge natural therapies to enhance their bodies’ ability to ward off and combat disease. Together you and I will craft a comprehensive treatment plan that blend the best of healing and medical philosophies from all around the world and traditional natural medical approaches to not only treat disease, but to also restore health in an uplifting and positive way!
