Back to School Jitters? Tap into the Healing of Homeopathy

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

It is start for a new school year to start, and moms across America are dealing with oodles of nervous children.  Homeopathy will help them step onto the yellow school bus without any jitters, and help them to be their BEST!

There is the first day of school to deal with (what will Jenny wear!?), which can be made even more difficult if you’ve recently moved to a new city or new school setting.  There is also the new logistics of the locations of classrooms, and locker combinations, and even how to get all of the supplies from the car into the class.  The struggle is REAL!  School also inevitably brings quizzes, tests, and the ever-present state-mandated examinations. Some children really struggle with anxiety related to testing.

The remedy for this type of anticipatory anxiety is Gelsemium 30; one dose taken twice a day and let me tell you, it is GORGEOUS! You can stop the remedy once the anxiety is resolved or the event is over.

There is something very unique about the symptoms of anxiety when it is related to a specific event: Often, people experience looser bowel movements (in some cases, diarrhea), they may tremble a bit and feel a little clumsy, and they typically experience a lack of coordination in their movements. In general, they may want to be left alone in a quiet space.

Besides test-taking and the first day of school, think of this remedy for a variety of anticipatory situations where a person may feel anxious or nervous, such as:

  • Anxiety before a surgery
  • Certain types of insomnia where you are afraid of going to bed (for fear you may not fall asleep—in this case, the ‘event’ is not a test but instead, the anticipated sleep!)
  • The feeling of ‘butterflies in the stomach’ and an urgent need to use the restroom
  • Stage-fright (like a sporting or performance event where your child needs to tackle the quarterback or perform in a recital.)

With Gelsemium, you will find you will not be paralyzed from the anxiety and that your trembling body will no longer feel so weak.

Homeopathy is a natural and simple way to find wellness that helps you get back on the horse, step onto the yellow school bus, or ‘break a leg’ when you perform! Homeopathy gets it done and with the only side effect being that the child can be THEIR BEST, more CONFIDENT SELF!

Wishing all the Good Vibe Tribe, especially all the Charismatic Children that I get to see in my practice and their Majestic Mamas, a happy, healthy and exciting new school year!

SIMPLIFY your Life! Also, here is your Supplement of the Week.

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

I usually don’t follow fads—but one hot trend I’m really into these days is simplifying.

No, I’m not going nuts and buying one of those “tiny houses” that are all the rage right now. Are you kidding me? I couldn’t even fit my shoes in one of those. And speaking of shoes, I’m not giving up any of those, either. Instead, I’m simplifying my life in three ways. First, I’m getting rid of stuff that’s cluttering up my house. Second, I’m saying no to over-commitment. And third, I’m getting more and more selective about the people I let into my life.

In my own journey to simplify my life, I’ve come up with some ideas that I think will help you, too. Here they are.

1. Get rid of at least ten things every week. I’m not talking about little things like paper clips or those ancient take-out soy sauce packets in your kitchen drawer. (That’s cheating.) I’m talking about clothes you no longer wear, books that are collecting dust on a shelf, and kitchen gadgets that you haven’t used in a decade. If someone else can use these items, donate them. Otherwise, if you can’t recycle or repurpose them, toss them out. Over time, you’ll clear out entire drawers, bookcases, and closets.

2. Escape from at least one obligation that’s weighing you down. I do volunteer work because I want to help make the world a better place. However, I’ve learned that if I say yes to too many volunteer projects, I can’t do a good job on any of them. If you’re over-obligated, here’s my suggestion: List all of your current obligations, rate them in order of importance, and say “no” to the ones at the bottom of the list. For more ideas, see this Huffington Post article.

3. Say goodbye to at least one person who’s negatively impacting your life. I know you can’t always part ways with negative people—especially if they’re family members. But if there’s a manipulative, vindictive, or overly needy person you can gently ease out of your life, do it. If you can’t completely avoid the person, minimize your contact as much as possible.

Take these three steps, and you’ll be amazed at how much more functional your house becomes, how much more free time you create for yourself and your family, and how much more positive energy you have. You’ll even be healthier and slimmer, because you’ll be way, way less stressed (and less stress translates into a healthier, slimmer you).

So don’t just sit there … Simplify!

Keep Thinking Big & Living Bold

XOXO- Meg

P.S.  On the note of making things more simple.  Here is my SENSATIONAL SUPPLEMENT of the week:

I am always getting pressed about the BEST multivitamin, and while I typically like a more targeted approach to nutrient deficiencies, due to the nature of SIMPLIFY here is my favorite multivitamin.  I like it because it has the basics you need in ONE capsule, and I just love this PURE brand.  You can get it at my web store (your one stop shop for supplements, see I told you that you could make like more simple & easy!)

A NEW KICK OFF for WELLNESS! Attention GOOD VIBE TRIBE!

By | Uncategorized | No Comments

Hello to all my wellness warriors! Over the last couple of months, I have been truly blessed to expand my practice in the realm of personal clients and also corporations in search of wellness at countless levels.   The www.wellconsulting.org website can now be reached nationally and has become a full service for many of the tribe for their monthly high quality supplements. It has been enlightening over the past months in my practice and various speaking summits to meet so many members of the “Good Vibe Tribe!”  Thank you for bringing your essence and vitality into my life!

Per request from some of my Gladiators of Wellness, I will be doing a weekly supplement education and demystification.  So many of us find healing and wellness through our favorite medicine of FOOD!  Unfortunately, even with the best food choices, we may still wind up deficient in much needed nutrients to fuel our bodies and minds.  I will be highlighting some ‘game-changing’ supplements for you.  The update goal is to be weekly, but be patient with me because I too am trying to cherish and embrace some last glimpses of summer with my two amazing children and my gem of a husband.  With that being said, lets kick off the first

Sensational Supplement of the Week: Vitamin D3

Vitamin D3:

Vitamin D is not actually a vitamin, but technically a hormone.  It regulates calcium, bone metabolism, and prevents depression.  Scientists are discovering multiple links between Vitamin D and a range of conditions, including cancer and autoimmune diseases.  Indeed a growing number of evidence suggests that people with low levels of vitamin D may be at a higher risk for osteoporosis, colorectal cancer, breast cancer, hypertension, and autoimmune disorders such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, and lupus.  Evidence shows that vitamin D bolsters the immune function by activating T-cells to attack and destroy pathogens.  T cells also become “helper cells” that allow the body to recognize invader cells, which could be one of the reasons Vitamin D also helps maintain healthy weight.  Most of us do not get nearly enough of vitamin D.  The vitamin is tough to obtain from food (salmon and sardines make good choices) and though our bodies make it in response to sunlight, it is difficult to get enough exposure during winter months.  Surprisingly, even in sunny Arizona and Hawaii there is a rising Vitamin D deficiency.

How to Take:  It is recommended for adults to take 2000- 5000 IU of vitamin D3 a day.  The best way to personalize your dosage is 1000 IU / 25 pounds of body weight. It’s true that you can get adequate vitamin D from sun exposure, but for non-nudist non-equatorial dwellers it is just not enough.  If you’re getting adequate vitamin A, it’s almost impossible to overdose on D, as well as Vitamin K2 (see further in future blogs on this amazing vitamin too.)

Important studies from the Cleveland Clinic found that patients who took a Vitamin D supplement with their biggest meal of the day boosted their bone levels of the bone builder by more than 50 percent.  So take this one with your largest meal of the day!   NOTE:*People with brown/black skin do not convert sunlight into vitamin D as quickly as lighter skinned people.  If you’re brown skinned, a safe bet is 1500 IU / 25 pounds of body weight, but you should always test your blood levels because individual response to dosage varies.
